Sol Menopause (Spring of Life), founded by Grace Oh, has announced the launch of the Sol app, Asia’s medically reviewed menopause app created specifically for women in Asia. Developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals and informed by lived experiences, the app delivers personalised, evidence-based, and culturally relevant support. Menopause is not only a workplace issue but one that touches families, communities, and society as a whole, making accessible support all the more vital. The app also helps employers address one of today’s most overlooked workplace challenges.
The financial and productivity consequences are substantial. Menopause is linked to an estimated US$150 billion in annual costs worldwide, driven by lost productivity and healthcare expenses. Worldwide, 1.2 billion women over 45 now represent almost one-third of the female population, yet 80% of doctors receive little or no training in menopause.
In Asia Pacific, where cultural stigma remains strong, 67% of women over 45 say symptoms disrupt their work, leading to talent loss at senior levels.

Grace Oh founded Sol after her own experience of being misunderstood and misdiagnosed during important life transitions. A graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School and a certified Menopause Champion, she left a successful career in finance, where she was recognised by the Financial Times as one of Asia’s top equity analysts, to pioneer a new model of care. “There has been very little research on women’s health beyond fertility, and many women have been dismissed or misdiagnosed. With Sol, we are introducing Asia’s first medically reviewed menopause app that gives women access to trusted guidance while providing employers with a scalable solution to improve well-being and retention,” said Oh.
Dr Tashiya Mirando, Family Physician and Menopause Lead at Osler Health International and Medical Advisor to Sol, added, “Too many women navigate menopause feeling dismissed and without reliable support. Sol directly addresses this by providing trusted, medically reviewed information and personalised tools. This isn’t just about improving health outcomes; it’s about empowering women to thrive in every aspect of their lives, including the workplace.”

The Sol app offers a comprehensive suite of tools and resources, including:
● A proprietary 3-level scorecard to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of management options across conventional, lifestyle, and complementary medicine.
● Confidential, evidence-based guidance and symptom tracking.
● Personalised wellness plans and bite-sized programmes to support sustainable behaviour change.
● A shareable health report that streamlines practitioner visits by summarising symptoms and health information.
● A practitioner map that connects users to trusted doctors and specialists across Asia.
● An in-depth expert series with practical strategies to help women feel healthier and more confident.
For organisations, Sol offers practical frameworks to build menopause-inclusive workplace policies and fosters a supportive community for employees navigating this life stage.
The Sol app is now available on iOS.
