RTS Operations (RTSO) has announced its successful completion of inaugural train dynamic run on the RTS Link mainline, on 26th December 2025, making it a major milestone for the project.

RTSO through its Facebook post said that the test train departed from Wadi Hana Depot, passed Bukit Chagar Station, travelled along the viaduct sections, and reached the international border before returning safely to the depot.

The inaugural run marks the first of many dynamic tests under the project’s testing and commissioning programme.

Engineers from RTSO, Jacobs, CRRC, Pestech, and CHEC participated in and witnessed the run, which was supported by InfraCo partners MRTS and LTA, highlighting the project’s strong cross-border collaboration.

RTSO has also highlighted safety first for the test, citing that key safety and technical checks were performed, including line clearance, onboard system verification, and traction power readiness prior to the run.

“Initial runs will be carried out at slow speeds, with gradual increases subject to strict safety requirements.”

“As testing advances, our focus remains firmly on operational readiness, with safety at the core of every step,” the statement ends.
