The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) through its agency, MyCreative Ventures (MyCV) kicks-off 2022 by organising the first edition of RIUH Keluarga Malaysia. The “RIUH EK! Together with unifi” will take place from 3th to 5th of March 2022 (Thursday to Saturday) at Arena Warna, Ayer Hitam, Johor.
The government is deeply concerned and committed to restore the country from the challenges and effects of COVID-19 pandemic, including among creative industry players. Thus, KKMM is actively implementing various initiatives to revitalise the creative industry landscape. Among others is through the implementation of RIUH Keluarga Malaysia which was initiated by YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Tpr. Annuar Haji Musa, Minister of Communications and Multimedia.
Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima TPr. Annuar Haji Musa said, “Creative arts can heal the soul of a country affected by various challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, KKMM invites the arts and culture community to work with the Ministry through RIUH Keluarga Malaysia to spur the nation’s creative industry to benefit the entire Keluarga Malaysia.
RIUH Keluarga Malaysia aims to bring together local creative entrepreneurs and art practitioners from 12 creative industry sectors which include music, film, photography, animation, performing arts, literature, inventions, crafts and traditional arts, culinary arts, visual arts, fashion and creative education.This initiative is expected to create at least 5,000 jobs throughout the 14 locations and support 2,000 local practitioners and businesses.”
MyCV Chief Executive Officer, Junady Nawawi said “Among MyCreative’s mission is to enhance the enticement of Malaysia’s creative industry which can be measured through job creation, increased income contribution from creative industry to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and elevate the status of Malaysia’s creative industry through public awareness and social impact.”
