In conjunction with the Johor Causeway’s 100th Anniversary Celebration, the Architects Association of Malaysia (PAM) Southern Chapter in collaboration with the Johor Bahru City Council had organised a Centennial Reflection from 11th May 2024 until 26th May 2024 around Johor Bahru City.

This programme was inaugurated by Dato’ Haji Mohd. Noorazam bin Dato’ Haji Osman, Mayor of the Johor Bahru City Council on 11th May 2024 with the hope that this Hundred years Reflections programme will be a good sharing platform about the history of the Johor Causeway and the City of Johor Bahru.  RefleksiSeratus is a concept to appreciate the historical value of 100 years of the Johor Causeway and further to see and inspire the development for the next 100 years.

The programme also featured exhibits by MRTS, IRDA, and more, including exhibits on the RTS projects. Apart from that, RefleksiSEratus also provided historical exhibitions on the Johor Causeway, Sg Segget Heritage, as well as the Johor Embankment Open Gallery, Segget River and some iconic heritage buildings around JB city by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia’s Centre for Malay Architecture Studies (KALAM). Besides that, exploration sharing sessions by leading local and international speakers from BCI Equinox and DECCO+ was also held.

The event also provided an opportunity to interact with Professional Boards, including the Local Authorities and Technical Agencies in informative sessions. CRiT sessions by UTM, UTHM, KYPJ Studio Works, KLAF, and PAMSo Student Works were also held. Visitors were also treated to exciting and lively Segget Placemaking in the ‘Night of Youth’ event through Bazaar, Culture, and Performing Arts by PARK MAYA FEST, UTM, UTHM, and KYPJ.

A lively musical performance ended the event, and there was also a heritage race named the Adventurous Heritage Explore Race by ILAM to make the programme more fun.
