As we reach the last leg of the Movement Control Order (MCO) which will last till the 28th of April 2020, most people would have either turned into pro-chefs or bakers at home or have discovered a new found love for cooking and baking regardless of the cuisine.
To keep cost low from taking-away food and paying extra for delivery services, just stock up a little on can food or whip up anything that you can find in your pantry. We are going to share one recipe per day that you can enjoy trying out at home either for yourself or your loved ones.

Baked Beans with Eggs
Left with one tin of baked beans, couple of eggs and some basic spices? Turn it into a one pan dish that is highly nutritious packed with protein, vitamins and minerals. Plus, think that you only need to wash one pan after cooking! I call this a winner especially when you’re juggling with work, chores and kids!
- 1 400g Ayam Brand baked beans in tomato Sauce
- 1 Small onion, chopped
- 1 1/2cups loosely packed baby spinach (optional)
- 3-4 large eggs (or according to the number of people)
- 1 Red bell pepper, chopped
- Chilli flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley (if available)
METHOD:
In a small skillet, add a little cooking oil. Cook the onion and bell pepper. Pour in the baked beans and let it simmer to warm it up at medium heat.
Add the spinach and cook till wilted.
Crack the eggs on top and cover with lid. Cook at low heat for 6-8 minutes until the egg whites are cooked but yolks slightly runny. You may season with chili flakes, salt or pepper if desired. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve while hot.
Goes really well with bread or have it just like that.
