With the recent agreement of a five-year strategic partnership between Siemens Healthineers and HMI Group, Regency Specialist Hospital (Regency) will be able to expand its services. This collaboration aims to increase treatment and patient care alternatives in Johor by advancing the state’s Neuroscience and Neurospine Centres of Excellence (COEs), which will open up chances for more local jobs.
The progress of the CoEs in Neuroscience and Neurospine as part of the strategic relationship, according to Serena Yong, CEO of Regency, is in line with the local government’s goals to address the growing issue of NCDs and minimise premature mortality caused by NCDs by 2025.
Regency will be digitalised and networked with end-to-end diagnostic imaging, treatment modalities and informatics from Siemens Healthineers. These enhancements will boost the continuum of care and improve the overall patient experience. The further development of CoEs will capitalise on the latest offerings in digital health and big data.
The latest MRI with Biomatrix technology supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI) allows users to scan every patient type by automatically adjusting to each individual patient, resulting in higher diagnostic confidence, fewer rescans, more predictable scheduling and consistent, high-quality personalised exams. Having access to more and frequent data, Regency will have a comprehensive profile of patients and the capability to transform data into actionable insights for better diagnosis and timely interventions.
Additionally, the CT scanner’s Dual Source technology, along with the industry’s fastest and most adaptable scan mode, allows for the handling of unplanned patients in emergency scenarios at a much lower radiation dose, ensuring patient and staff safety.
