Ever felt like all these festive feasts and big buffets are just a whole lot of food going to waste when everyone just greedily fills up their plates or being served too much? This year, Ponderosa Golf and Country Club is changing things up by promoting a slim and trim festive menu that can cater to small families and small eaters at their Hop Sing Chinese Restaurant in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

“Family units are smaller nowadays and we wish to cater to such groups, without food wastage. Many restaurants traditionally cater to menus for tables of 10 persons and once there are lesser persons, there will be much food wasted,” said General Manager, Tan kai Yang. “Last year, we implemented Chinese menus without Shark’s Fin and this year, we are going for minimising wastages of food,” he added.
