Teachers are more than educators; they are leaders shaping the nation’s future. This year, PEMIMPIN continues its tradition of honouring the teaching profession by announcing the Top 10 Finalists of the Malaysia Teacher Prize (MTP) 2025, celebrating educators whose leadership and innovation are transforming classrooms and communities across the country.
The Malaysia Teacher Prize recognises outstanding teachers who go beyond the classroom to inspire lifelong learning and nurture the next generation of Malaysian leaders. Reflecting this year’s summit theme, “A Step Together, in Shaping the Future,” the Prize celebrates teachers who embody collaboration, resilience, and a shared commitment to advancing education in Malaysia.
“Over 2,300 teachers from across the nation took up the challenge this year, a powerful testament to the heart and spirit that continue to drive our educators,” said Samuel Isaiah, Executive Director of PEMIMPIN, and co-founder of the Malaysia Teacher Prize. “Each submission reflected remarkable dedication, creativity, and resilience. The finalists this year remind us that teachers are not just educators; they are leaders who move education forward and uplift entire communities.”
Now in its fourth year, the Malaysia Teacher Prize continues to spotlight teachers who exemplify leadership and excellence in education. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Education Malaysia, the Varkey Foundation, and sponsors including YTL Foundation, Yayasan Hasanah, the Ministry of Finance, and the ECM Libra Foundation.
The Prize awards RM50,000 to the grand winner, RM5,000 to each of the Top 5 Finalists, and RM1,000 to each of the Top 10 Finalists.
The Winner and Top 5 Finalists of the Malaysia Teacher Prize 2025 will be announced at the Malaysia Teacher Prize Summit 2025, held at Royale Chulan Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, on 8–9 November 2025.
Under the theme “A Step Together, in Shaping the Future,” the two-day summit will bring together educators, policymakers, and partners for keynote sessions, interactive workshops, and policy labs. These sessions will foster collaboration, shared learning, and collective leadership in education — reflecting the belief that progress happens when we move forward together. More than 800 members of the education community from across Malaysia are expected to attend.
