Malaysia Technology Transformation and Creativity (MTTC) College has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Southern Chapter (PAMSo). This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to promoting professional awareness, academic endorsement, and deeper industry engagement for students, staff, and professionals in the built environment field.

The MoU was established with the intention of elevating the quality, relevance, and industry alignment of MTTC programmes in architecture, interior design, and related fields. Through this collaboration, PAMSo will provide professional acknowledgement and support that strengthens the academic credibility of MTTC College’s built environment programmes.

PAMSo will also appoint a representative to serve as a member of MTTC College’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), where they will offer industry insights to ensure curriculum relevance, graduate competency, and awareness of emerging industry trends. Both parties emphasise that this partnership plays a crucial role in minimising the skills gap, ensuring graduates are equipped with competencies that meet real industry expectations.

This partnership opens the door for greater exposure to real-world practices and professional pathways. Students and staff will benefit from a wider range of collaborative initiatives, including talks, workshops, exhibitions, design critiques, and industry engagements that cultivate confidence, creativity, and practical understanding. Both organisations also aim to enhance mutual visibility and outreach efforts, particularly within the southern region where demand for skilled talent in the built environment continues to grow.

MTTC College is one of Malaysia’s leading TVET institutions, offering hands-on, industry-driven programmes grounded in practical learning. With more than 70 percent of its curriculum focusing on experiential training, MTTC College equips students with the technical competencies and creative thinking required for success in technology, design, and the built environment sectors. With campuses in Petaling Jaya and Johor, the College remains committed to shaping future-ready graduates who can contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s development.

Mas Amelia, Programme Director of MTTC College, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We are pleased to formalise this partnership with PAMSo. This MoU strengthens our academic foundation and expands the opportunities available for our students and staff. Together with PAMSo, we are confident that we can nurture a new generation of creative and competent professionals who are ready to contribute to the industry.”

Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Southern Chapter (PAMSo), a regional chapter under Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia, represents architectural professionals across the southern region and actively engages in promoting architectural excellence, education, and community initiatives.

Ar Ahmad Farik Abd Ghaffar, Chairman of PAMSo, shared his optimism about the collaboration. “Through this partnership, we will serve as an industry advisor within MTTC College’s Technical Advisory Committee and guide the development of programmes that meet real industry needs. We look forward to contributing our professional insights and working closely with MTTC College to elevate talent development in the built environment sector.”

This collaboration benefits all stakeholders by strengthening the connection between education and industry, broadening opportunities for practical exposure, and fostering an environment where innovation and professional growth can thrive. It also reinforces MTTC College’s emphasis on modern, technology-integrated learning, particularly through its strong focus on Building Information Modelling (BIM). As BIM becomes an essential competency across the architecture, construction, and built environment sectors, this partnership allows MTTC students to deepen their understanding of digital workflows, industry standards, and real project coordination. By integrating professional guidance from PAMSo with MTTC College’s BIM-driven curriculum, the collaboration elevates academic relevance, improves graduate readiness, and supports the continuous advancement of Malaysia’s built environment ecosystem.

The partnership between MTTC College and PAMSo marks a meaningful step toward building a stronger, future-oriented professional community. Both parties will continue to collaborate closely to introduce impactful activities, promote knowledge exchange, and nurture the next generation of design and architecture professionals.
