The management of Johor Bahru’s century-old Hindu temple, Arulmigu Rajamariamman Devasthanam Temple stepped up to provide aid to the society during the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Kiruppalini KMN, President of temple trustee unveiled a RM200,000 aid plan which included a welfare fund of RM30,000 to help needy families with groceries and cash, rental waiver with a reduction of 20% till August 2020 for the flower shops along Jalan Ungku Puan which is estimated to cost around RM150,000 and another RM20,000 which is to be channelled to other subsidies.

The temple which is also known as the ‘mother temple’, manages the Hindu crematorium along Jalan Kebun Teh which will remain open as a social obligation to serve the community.
