The Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA), through its agency Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), is opening up opportunities for all eligible Malaysian Indian youth to apply for the Malaysian Indian Skills Initiative (MiSI) 2.0 programme.

This fully supported programme by the Government offers fully funded skills training that is directly aligned with job opportunities in key sectors of the country’s economy.

MiSI 2.0 is an outcomes-based initiative. Participants will undergo specific training designed based on real industry needs, with guaranteed job placement upon completion of the programme.

The training period ranges from one to six months, depending on the sector, and participants will receive an industry-recognised certificate upon completion of the training. Focus sectors include Electrical and Electronics (E&E), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Aerospace, Global Business Services (GBS), Food Processing, Tourism and Retail.

“MiSI 2.0 is not just about training. It is about job placement, salary mobility and building a career in a sector that needs local talent,” said Sivakumeren A. Narayanan, Group Chief Operating Officer of TalentCorp.

“We are targeting at least 500 job placements by November 2025, with competitive starting salaries starting from RM3,000 and above. Our goal is to support Malaysian youth to find meaningful employment and build a proud future,” he added.

Initial results from the implementation of this programme, shows an encouraging impact.
