20 mosques around Johor Bahru to receive benches from Maxim

During Ramadan this year, Maxim Johor Bahru gave back to the community and its partner drivers in a number of ways to honour the Holy Month and give back to the community.

The first week focused on the development of the infrastructure – Maxim E-hailing donated a number of benches to be installed around the total of 20 mosques. It is meant as a start of a long-term collaboration with the management of the mosques and the municipal authorities, seeking to serve the people and provide them with better facilities. The benches are one of the solutions to cover the needs of the community.

“Not only have these benches improved the mosque’s infrastructure, but they have also strengthened our sense of community. They provide a space for people to sit, reflect, and connect. We are truly thankful for this show of support. Many of our visitors are seniors who need space to take a seat while waiting, and these donations truly strike home for us,” said a manager of the Masjid Kampung Mosque, Melayu Majidee.

Last Friday, the management team of Maxim Johor Bahru gave out free food to partner-drivers who came by the office. More than 50 packs of food were distributed. The head of the Maxim unit posted the message about the food giveaway in the partner-drivers’ chat to drop-by the office to get a drive-thru meal.

The effort was organised to share kindness and spread the joy of Ramadan among partner-drivers as Maxim understands that partner-drivers do not have enough time to buy food, as usually the iftar time falls at peak hours, and their priorities are to ensure the passengers reach their destination on time.

“Our team’s campaigns are meant to emphasise the importance of supporting the hardworking community during this holy month. I would like to highlight that this effort reflects the company’s commitment to compassion and solidarity. Together we help the development of the mosque along with ensuring drivers can break their fast with dignity,” said Alif Abdull Kher, head of Maxim Johor Bahru.

Giving back to the community during Ramadan holds profound significance, as it embodies the spirit of generosity, empathy, and unity that defines this sacred month. We hope that these efforts create a lasting positive impact, inspiring others to contribute and fostering a culture of kindness and compassion that extends far beyond Ramadan.
