42 Malaysia (42MY), the country’s first tuition-free coding school by Sunway Education, has officially opened its second campus, 42 Iskandar Puteri (42IP), located at Sunway GRID Hub in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

42MY, a nation-building joint venture initiative between Sunway Education and Khazanah Nasional Berhad, offers a strong ecosystem of industry partnerships and a robust education model to develop industry-ready talent.

Jeff Sandhu, Chief Operating Officer of 42MY, stated that the expansion of the school’s reach with 42 Iskandar Puteri (42IP) marks a significant milestone in reshaping the future of technology education.

“We are expanding access to high-quality coding training and empowering more individuals, especially those in the Southern Region, to become the tech leaders of tomorrow.

“Uniquely, our tuition-free coding education does not only teach technical skills which meet industry demands but through the way the curriculum is designed, students also learn soft skills needed to navigate the working world,” said Sandhu.

The first bootcamp, known as the Piscine, is limited to the first 120 individuals and will begin on 23rd September 2024. It is open to anyone aged 17 and above, with no prior coding or computer science background required. Upon completing the month-long bootcamp, selected students will have the opportunity to join the 42 Global programme for a duration of 12-18 months to become industry-ready digital talent. Additional bootcamps (Piscines) will be scheduled in the coming months.
