The Visual Arts Exhibition “Vision Unveiled: The Interaction of Arts Through Conventional and Digital Exhibition 2023” has concluded its 2 weeks programme that was held from the 4th to the 15th October 2023 at KOMTAR Johor Bahru City Centre (JBCC), Johor, for the general public with hybrid and physical implementation.  

Creative Art Solution organised this programme in collaboration with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris and Yayasan Johor Corporation, with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.

The opening ceremony took place on the 8th October 2023, and was officiated by Datuk Haji Yahya Jaafar, the official representative of the Johor Bahru Mayor.

A programme designed to increase appreciation of art and culture in various related countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, and even countries from Europe through traditional and digital visual art exhibitions, the goal of this exhibition is also to foster cultural exchange between various nations and communities through traditional and digital art. 

It aims to provide a platform for greater understanding for international artists representing various traditional arts and digital expressions, as well as to raise awareness of the similarities and differences between conventional and digital art from different countries.

Every piece on display at JBCC conveyed a message from every angle, and there were participants of various ages, from 13 to 80 years old.

The programmed sought to broaden the public’s understanding of the richness of the traditional and digital art worlds through their own lives, experiences, feelings, and journeys as artists.

By encouraging opportunities for collaboration, pursuing fresh perspectives, and forging partnerships that can enrich the international art scene and assist artists in gaining recognition, fresh opportunities, and networks, the organisers also work to create networks and connections between artists, curators, collectors, and other related parties from various countries.

The goal of this exhibition is to support international artists who represent a variety of traditional and digital artistic expressions while also preserving the visual arts. 

Some of the organised activities included the visual art exhibition “Vision Unveiled: The Interaction of Arts Through Conventional and Digital Exhibition 2023” from 4-15 October 2023, two Digital Art Workshop both by Ts. Darween Reza bin Sabri and Mohammad Hilman bin Nordin, Doodle Art Workshop with Vadivelan Simadiri and a Contemporary Art Workshop with Aisyamuddin bin Abd Latip.

The climax of the programme was the Conventional and Digital Arts Discussion Forum: Art Paradigms in Educational and Career Contexts with Dr Norzuraina binti Mohd Nor, Director of the UPSI Cultural Center as moderator and the panel was lined up by Associate Professor Dr Mohd Zahuri bin Khairani, Sustainability Art and Creative Industry Lecturer, UPSI, Dr Naimah binti Musa@Zakaria, Lecturer of Sustainability Art and Creative Industry, UPSI and Juhari Said, Master of Art.
