Kunkwan Student day 2024 in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations was a vibrant affair, blending the joyous festivities of Hari Raya with a heartfelt celebration of academic success. This year, Kunkwan proudly honoured 52 students who have excelled in their education at the highest level.

The event, graced by the esteemed Founder of Kunkwan, Kent Ng Kun Kwan, and attended by the distinguished Multi Hybrid Artist, Academia Researcher, Producer & Beauty Queen, Dr Soo Wincci, was a testament to Kunkwan’s commitment to nurturing excellence and embracing cultural diversity.

Ng emphasised the importance of understanding and celebrating the rich cultural tapestry and diversity of our nation. He highlighted the significance of fostering positive relationships, particularly with China, acknowledging its profound impact on Malaysia’s economy and standard of living. Ng underscored the value of Mandarin proficiency as an economic language, echoing the sentiments expressed by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, Dr Soo, in her address, expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments, emphasising the universal importance of language proficiency. She commended the students and their parents for their dedication to embracing other cultures through language acquisition, acknowledging the role of language as a gateway to diverse opportunities in today’s globalised world. Dr Soo affirmed her belief in a bright future empowered by linguistic diversity, highlighting the importance of embracing new experiences and opportunities.

Adding to the festivities, the event featured performances by renowned artists and singers, including Meer Nash, Misya Syahira, and talented students from Kunkwan itself, further enriching the cultural celebration.

Kunkwan Student Day 2024 not only celebrated the spirit of Hari Raya but also served as a platform to inspire and motivate students to continue striving for excellence while embracing cultural diversity and linguistic proficiency.
