The fasting season has come to be synonymous with feasting sessions for many including the non-Muslims, and at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort’s Bricks Restaurant, the Flavours of Nusantara buffet would have the regional dishes land right in the lines of cuisines ready for you to pick up with extensive and fun activities on the side.
Upon entering Bricks Restaurant, the dusk is setting, and I am ready to pick up something sweet to break my fast. I immediately laid my eyes on the different kinds of Malay kuih-muih and picked up the glutinous and sweet Kuih Koci with smooth, rose-scented Kuih Lapis.
Nothing lures you more than the sound of ice cubes hitting the glass containers while mixing the different flavours of ‘Air Balang’ from the beverage corner. I just had to take up some refreshing Cha Bang Ang, a milky Thailand’s favourite dessert with grass jelly and sago.
Words were passed around that the Bubur Lambuk is a must try, and I’ve just had to have it. It was perfectly warm, with the right texture and favourable amount of spice to bring back my memories of kampung’s unity in providing a bowl of hot food to everyone.
I went to the live cooking stalls that have a beautiful view of the theme park’s entrance, presented to you hot from the stove such as Roasted Kambing Kuzi and also Satays that quickly disappeared once served.
I was in the mood for bread after the Bubur Lambuk so my plate was packed with one of thefreshest Roti Canai and Murtabak that were delectable, with the tolerable spicy Dhal Curry.
My friend was mesmerised by the size of the prawns in her hot Kuey Teow and had the time of her life adding some of the Spicy Squid dish to it.
It is simply easy to feed picky eaters here; I see every child eating from the popular Pasta station, to the colourful Nasi Hujan Panas and freshly-baked Pizzas! A testament to how delicious and tantalising the food was for the tiny tastebuds.
Even better, the children would remember their fast-breaking session with the appearance of LEGO characters from time to time while they were having their meals!
The buzzing children and the ambience at Bricks Restaurant really motivate you to pick up some ice cream with plenty of toppings for dessert. Even if you are already full!
