Defending FA Cup champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) easily won their fourth FA Cup in a row, defeating Selangor 6-1 in the 2024/2025 FA Cup final in front of 80,350 spectators at National Stadium, Bukit Jalil.

This win also meant the team became the first to win the cup three times consecutively.

JDT midfielder Juan Muniz scored a hat-trick in the 6-1 victory over the top two Super League teams.

JDT took the lead with Muniz in the 26th minute, and the Southern Tigers led 2-0 at halftime thanks to national winger Arif Aiman Mohd Hanapi’s second goal in the 42nd minute.

Selangor briefly recovered in the second half, scoring through foreign striker Alvin Fortes in the 59th minute, before JDT scored twice in five minutes, with striker Bergson Da Silva in the 62nd and Muniz’s second of the match in the 67th minute.

Even with a win in sight, JDT did not stop scoring; Herberty Fernandes scored their fifth in the 76th minute, and Muniz went for personal glory by scoring his final goal to complete his hattrick before the game ended.

JDT now has two trophies this season, having won the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah’s Cup or Charity Cup in May after Selangor forfeited the match.
