Introducing, Jualan Makmur Johor (JMJ) in Shopee

25,000 local consumers are expected to benefit from the state government’s e-commerce initiative

The Johor state government launched the Jualan Makmur Johor (JMJ) programme which offers various necessities at affordable prices through the online platform, Shopee.my starting 30th August until November next year.

Chairman of the Unity, Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee, Dr Chong Fat Full said, JMJ is expected to be able to benefit 25,000 consumers living in the state.

“JMJ is an initiative of the state government in collaboration with Shopee and the Johor Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP). It aims to help the B40 and M40 groups who have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic”.

“A total of RM500,000 is allocated by the state government through this programme and will offer the purchase of essential goods with a discount of RM20 for every minimum RM40 purchase in Shopee under the Johor Prosperous Sale voucher,” he said.

Menteri Besar of Johor, Datuk Ir. Haji Hasni Mohammad launched the JMJ programme at the MB’s office on the 30th of August.

Also present were Johor State Financial Officer, Dato’ Haji Salehudin Hassan; Johor Deputy State Secretary (Development), Dato’ Dr Badrul Hisham Kassim; Director of KPDNHEP Johor, Mohd. Hairul Anuar Bohro and Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs, Shopee Malaysia, Leeroy Ting Kah Sing.

Dr Chong said the JMJ link can be found in the Shoppee application and necessities from various vendors are available according to the user’s choice.

”JMJ is reserved for all citizens with addresses in the state. Shopee also offers free delivery to the entire state of Johor,“ he said.
