The PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards is a leading industry awards programme that acknowledges outstanding achievements in the real estate sector across Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and Oceania. This year marks the 11th annual edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia, known for its rigorous and transparent judging process, overseen by an independent panel of experts and HLB Malaysia. Notably, the majority of winners at the event came from Johor, underscoring the state’s role as a national leader in development. These winners illustrated Johor’s position as the nexus of growth and not only for Malaysia but also for the broader region.
IIB’s selection and subsequent representation of Malaysia at the Asia Pacific Grand Final highlights the company’s dedication to sustainable urban development and its commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable metropolis of the future. Medini Innopolis, with its innovative masterplan design, positions itself as a model for future-ready urban environments, aimed at fostering global collaboration and enhancing regional appeal.
Dato’ Idzham Mohd Hashim, the President/CEO of IIB, expressed his pride in this achievement, stating, “It is an honour for Iskandar Investment Berhad to represent Malaysia at the Asia Property Awards Grand Final. This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable metropolis of the future in Iskandar Puteri. As we work towards achieving our net-zero aspirations in Medini, we are transforming it into a benchmark for green development, showcasing how economic growth can align with social inclusivity and environmental responsibility.”
This achievement is part of IIB’s strategic plan to reinvigorate the Medini masterplan, elevating its status as the region’s prime destination for both community and corporate engagement. From its inception, Medini was designed to be an infrastructure-ready locality, laying a robust foundation for investors and businesses alike. After nearly 20 years and RM2.2 billion invested in infrastructure, Medini is poised for its next chapter.
Anchored by three key elements, Medini Innopolis will feature the Medini International Convention Centre, Tech Medini, and the region’s first Net Zero Carbon Central Business District. This unique community and corporate approach celebrates how both intertwines within a location that has it all. Through these initiatives, IIB aims to position Johor as a resilient regional powerhouse by fostering a dynamic ecosystem that integrates technology, sustainability, and talent development.
As IIB prepares for the Asia Property Awards Grand Final, it remains committed to realising its strategic vision for Medini. The company continues to focus on attracting global partnerships and enhancing regional competitiveness, remaining true to its mission of building an inclusive and sustainable metropolis of the future.
