Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB), together with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), had hosted IIB’s Integrity Day 2025 at the EduCity Sports Complex, Iskandar Puteri. The initiative reinforced IIB’s long- standing commitment to shaping Iskandar Puteri and Johor’s development on a foundation of good governance, responsible leadership, and institutional integrity. Through this annual platform, IIB continued to strengthen the culture of transparency and accountability that underpins investor confidence, public trust, and sustainable regional growth.

The event was officiated by Dato’ TKPj Azmi Bin Kamaruzaman, Deputy Chief Commissioner of MACC alongside Dato’ Idzham Mohd Hashim, President/Chief Executive Officer of IIB. Their participation reflected strong alignment between state and federal leadership in advancing joint integrity initiatives and building lasting public trust.

Speaking at the event, Dato’ Idzham Mohd Hashim, P/CEO of IIB, emphasised that integrity is not defined by what is displayed publicly, but by the actions taken when no one is watching. He noted that the way decisions are made and responsibilities are upheld is a true reflection of one’s character. “As the catalyst for the development of Iskandar Puteri, IIB carries the responsibility not only to build a city, but also to reinforce the foundation of trust that underpins our governance and business conduct. Our ability to attract investments and create employment opportunities is anchored in the confidence placed in our governance practices. Without integrity, no strategy or infrastructure can sustain that trust,” he said.

Held under the theme “Keep It Real, Kekal Bersih,” IIB’s Integrity Day 2025 brought together more than 800 participants, including university students, public officials, corporate partners, and community leaders.

The highlight of the event was the Corruption-Free Pledge (Ikrar Bebas Rasuah), led by Dato’ Idzham Mohd Hashim. In a united show of commitment, he recited the pledge before the audience, with all IIB employees joining in unison to reaffirm their dedication to integrity and ethical conduct. This meaningful ceremony reinforced IIB’s steadfast commitment to a corruption-free culture, first declared in 2023. Following the recital, Dato’ Idzham signed the pledge, witnessed by Dato’ Azmi Bin Kamaruzaman, as a formal demonstration of collective responsibility and accountability in supporting transparent and ethical corporate practices. The programme also featured the Integrity Talk Series, an interactive anti-corruption quiz, and engagement booths by MACC and partner agencies to encourage dialogue and strengthen awareness of good governance.

This year’s Integrity Day also marked a significant milestone in IIB’s governance journey, following its ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) certification. The internationally recognised standard affirmed IIB’s compliance with Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009. It reflected the organisation’s ongoing effort to strengthen internal controls, enhance due diligence practices, and embed a culture of accountability across all levels of its operations.

Throughout 2025, IIB strengthened its collaboration with MACC through youth-focused initiatives such as Konvensyen Mahasiswa Anti Rasuah (KoMawar) and a range of joint outreach programmes across Johor. These engagements reflected a shared commitment to cultivating young Malaysians who understand the value of integrity, recognise its role in shaping national development, and are empowered to take an active stance against corruption.

As the Master Developer for Flagship Zone B of Iskandar Malaysia and a catalyst for Johor’s long-term transformation, IIB continued to embed good governance in every aspect of its work. This includes the planning and delivery of sustainable urban precincts, the development of future-ready education ecosystems, and the strengthening of public- private partnerships that support inclusive growth and reinforce trust within the community.

IIB’s Integrity Day 2025 stands as a testament to the organisation’s belief that meaningful progress must be anchored in strong principles. By fostering genuine collaboration, reinforcing shared accountability, and championing ethical leadership, IIB aims to help shape a Malaysia that remains honest, resilient, and guided by values that endure over time.
