In a couple of months, the Ministries of Health (MOH) and Defence (MINDEF) are expected to make a decision on the proposed location for the building of Hospital Sultanah Aminah 2 (HSA 2).
Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Minister of Health, stated that the conversations between the two ministries went well and that MINDEF recognised the necessity and need for the development of HSA 2.
“We will have no problem (to build HSA 2) once the location is finalised,” she said after the handover ceremony of a Johor health facility at HSA.
Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan, Director-General of Health, and Ling Tian Soon, Chairman of the Johor State Health Committee, were also present.
She stated this in response to a question on the status of discussions with MINDEF regarding its land at the proposed Skudai site for the construction of HSA 2.
Previously, Ling was quoted as saying that the state government was awaiting the conclusion of talks between the two ministries about MINDEF-owned land for the proposed HSA 2.
