The villagers and the community in the surrounding areas of the Forest City township can now take a recreational relaxing stroll at the Tanjung Adang Forest City Park located near the community surau.
This 0.81 hectare park was beautifully landscaped to cater to the residents of the nearby villages, as well as tourists who may want to stop for a rest after a long drive in heading to the popular seafood restaurant located in Kampung Pendas here.
Witnessed by Johor Housing, Communication and Multimedia Committee Chairman, Sr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, who is also the assemblyman for Kota Iskandar, the plaque signing marked the hand over of the recreational park to the community.
“The handing over of the park bears testimony to CGPV’s commitment in creating values for Johoreans and supporting the needs of the community. This is also in line with the National Community Policy initiative under the Housing and Local Government Ministry,” said Country Garden Malaysia and Forest City Director of Strategy, Ng Zhu Hann who also represented Country Garden Pacific View (CGPV) Sdn Bhd.
Dzulkefly had reportedly called on developers to take on more community driven projects as this would have a positive impact on the locals.
A total of RM200,000 was invested in the construction and beautification of the area which resulted in a lush green park. Work began in April this year and included the renovation of the existing surau.
CGPV planted trees and installed benches, two gazebos and a jogging track to complement the existing community hub and surau.
