Synopsis
In Doc, Molly Parker stars as Dr. Amy Larsen, a brilliant and compassionate physician who serves as Chief of Internal Medicine at Westside Hospital in Minneapolis. Amy’s life is upended when she suffers a severe brain injury, causing her to lose the last eight years of her memory. Suddenly, she is thrust into a world that feels foreign—unable to recall the patients she once cared for, the colleagues she worked alongside, or even the man she loved. The tragedy behind her memory loss remains a blank, leaving her to rebuild her life amidst fragmented relationships and unfamiliar faces.
Despite the emotional and physical challenges she faces, Amy’s journey of self-discovery unfolds with strength and determination. The series explores her personal struggles, including her strained relationship with her 17-year-old daughter—whom she remembers as a child—and her efforts to reconnect with a small circle of loyal friends. As Amy continues her medical practice, she is given a second chance at life, confronting the challenges of rediscovery, healing, and finding love again.
