Columbia Asia Hospital has launched its second Johor branch, which happens to be the biggest of their hospitals nationwide, at Southkey, Tebrau, Johor Bahru. In conjunction with their opening, a two-day event entitled ‘Ayuh Sihat’ community day with Golden Age Day was held. The event ran from 9am to 1pm on 13th December 2019 , while a full day event took place on 14th December 2019 from 9am to 5pm.

Rahani Yaacob, Regional General Manager, in her speech said, “We have recently opened our doors and started operations since 27th November 2019. The response has been overwhelming. Even before we opened, we had people coming in, asking to make appointments! Tebrau is certainly flourishing. With more residential and commercial properties sprouting up at such a dynamic pace, we realised that there would be a demand for healthcare from residents in and around Tebrau. This justifies a second Columbia Asia hospital in Johor after Iskandar Puteri. At four storeys high with 205 beds compared to the average 100 in our standard model, this branch is the biggest in the Columbia Asia group of hospitals. This allows us to accommodate more than just the residents of Tebrau. We have also embarked on healthcare tourism and are expecting patients from as far as Singapore, Indonesia, even China.” She also relayed a brief motivational speech about taking better care of seniors and their aging health.
Columbia Asia Hospital Tebrau Specialist Consultation Hours are 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday and public holidays. Accident and emergency consultations are open 24 hours. Visiting hours are 9am to 9.30pm at Nursing Units (wards) while those visiting ICU and HDU units can do so between 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm to ensure patients’ safety and comfort.
