While our nation celebrated the 62nd National Day on 31st August 2019, it was a bundle of joy for five mothers who gave birth to their babies on this historical day at Columbia Asia Hospital – Iskandar Puteri (CAH-IP).
First-time mother Nursyazwani Hamdan, 27, was expecting to deliver her very first baby on 30th August 2019, instead she gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl, weighing 2.75kg on 31st August 2019 at 6.18pm. Her husband, Muhammad Zakwan Zainal Alam, 27, an engineer from Skudai, Johor Bahru felt honoured because they will celebrate their daughter’s birthday on Malaysia’s National Day every year.
Meanwhile, Nabila Ayesha Aminuddin, 31, a pharmacist gave birth to her second baby at 3.02am. She and her husband, Muhammad Farid A Rahman, 31, were blessed with a 3.98kg baby boy. Housewife Lee Chin Kem, 26, and husband Chew Seng Boon, 36, celebrated the arrival of their second baby, a baby girl weighing 3.20kg at 3.05pm. They felt grateful for the baby’s healthy and safe delivery.
Norshazwana Abdullah, 31, and husband, Mohd Khairul Farhan E. Solong, 31, were overwhelmed at the early arrival of their son as Norshazwana was initially scheduled to give birth on 16th September 2019 which is Malaysia Day. The couple were thrilled and blessed that their baby arrived on such a significant day.
Another couple from Taman Perling, Johor Bahru, Chin Mei Ting, 26, and husband, Ng Sei Ann, 30, welcomed a baby girl. She was admitted to CAH-IP on the same day and delivered the baby at 8.20am. The couple thanked everyone at CAH-IP for making sure everything went smoothly for them.
All mothers and babies were well under the care of Dr. Rohaini Md Jonit, Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecologist; Dr. Quek Yek Song, Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecologist; and Dr. Azhar Napis, Consultant Pediatrician, who is also the Chief Medical Services CAH-IP assisted by well-trained midwives and nurses of CAH-IP.
As an icing on the cake, each of the families received a gift pack from the hospital filled with heartwarming notes.
