The start of the New Year 2025 is a great time for millions of people around the world and in Columbia Asia Hospital – Iskandar Puteri (CAH-IP) this year, ten couples celebrated the New Year by welcoming their new additions to the family on this auspicious day.
The arrival of a newborn marks a new beginning in every sense of the word especially for the first new year baby of the hospital, Nur Fatin Adam, 33, a Banker, gave birth to her third child, a healthy and cute baby boy, weighing 3.04kg on 1st January 2025 at 3.03am. Her husband, Muhammad Nazirul Md Yusof, 33, an Assistant Manager, felt happy because they will celebrate their son’s birthday on new year day every year. The couple planned for the son to be delivered in the month of January and were grateful for the arrival of their newborn on this memorable day.
Meanwhile, Teo Shi Han, 26, a Housewife, gave birth to her first child at 2.17pm. She and her husband, Tan Choon Guan, 37, a Crane Operator, was blessed with a 2.81kg baby boy. The couple from Taman Laman Setia, Gelang Patah, felt grateful for the baby’s healthy and safe delivery. The couple thanked the doctors, midwives and nurses for the great service and hospitality given at the hospital.
Also, on New Year Day, Siti Nur Shahila Shamsuddin, 28, a Housewife and Burhan Hakeem Abdullah, 28, a Chef, were overwhelmed by the arrival of their first child, a beautiful 2.86kg baby girl at 5.41pm. The couple from Medini, Iskandar Puteri, were thrilled and felt blessed that their baby had arrived on such a significant day and thanked the doctors and nurses for advice and care given throughout their pregnancy journey.
Lee Yi Shan, 28, an Auditor and husband, Tan Wei Rong, 29, a Relationship Manager, celebrated the arrival of their first child, a baby girl, weighing 3.31kg at 11.09am. The couple from Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru are happy for the arrival of their baby on New Year Day. They felt grateful for the baby’s healthy and safe delivery.
Another couple from Taman Nusa Bestari 2, Skudai, Kirthana Govindan, 29, a Teacher and husband, Karthigesan Raman, 31, a Technician, welcomed their first child, a cute 3.21kg baby boy. She was admitted to CAH-IP on the same day and delivered the baby at 7.42pm. The couple thanked everyone at CAH-IP for making sure everything went smoothly for them.
All mothers and babies were well under the care of the hospital’s Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecologist: Dr. Rajesh Mahendran Radha Krishnan; Dr. Rohaini Md Jonit; Dr Hezrin Nazlin Mohamed and Consultant Pediatrician: Dr. Azhar Napis, Dr. Razlina Johari assisted by well trained midwives and nurses of CAH-IP.
