The two-day carnival was held to aid the TFAJ’s building fund

The Temple of Fine Arts Johor Bahru (TFAJ) organised a two-day carnival at Persatuan Cerebral Palsy, Johor in efforts to collect funds in developing their own building.

There was never a dull moment at the carnival, with various activities from dance and music performance to henna and face painting and arts and crafts for the children, as well as a selection of vegetarian delicacies for visitors to indulge in. All this was possible with a mere purchase of RM20 coupon book.

The people thronged the various food stalls, jumble sales and activity booths, and there were also fun games on site for families to enjoy including competitions where participants stood a chance to win prizes like plush toys.

The children of the Temple of Fine Arts also delighted spectators with their dance performances.

Dr. Ramakrishnan Suppiah, Executive Chairman of Consumerism, Human Resources and Unity was greeted by dancers upon his arrival. In his opening ceremony speech, Dr. Ramakrishnan said he believes classical art is one of the greatest fundamentals to build character, and encouraged the youth to practice it.

He noted on TFAJ’s efforts to raise funds for a new building which would cost around RM4.4 million and will look into aiding it through the means of the State government’s effort and private establishments’ as sponsors.
