CIMB joined hands with Social Hero Foundation to continue its “Feed The Needy” project to aid to the needy

Since the “SHF Feed The Needy” project was launched in March 2024, more than 1,350 dinner meals and drinks have been distributed at the Rumah Pangsa Larkin in Johor Bahru.

CIMB Private Banking office in Johor Bahru joined hands with Social Hero Foundation (“SHF”) to continue providing home-cooked dinner meals once a week to the needy in Johor Bahru for another 3 months until December 2024.

Since the “SHF Feed The Needy” project was launched in March 2024, more than 1,350 dinner meals and drinks have been distributed at the Rumah Pangsa Larkin in Johor Bahru.

For this week’s food distribution on 3 October, SHF Trustee Datuk Seri Teo Shiok Fu, Team Leader for CIMB Private Banking Johor Bahru, Wong Siew Fong, CIMB Private Banking Head of Business Strategy & Solutions Michael Yee, and CIMB staff also visited several families with single mothers and handicapped children in their homes.

As an extra treat for the children living at the Rumah Pangsa Larkin, the CIMB Team also prepared specially-packed goodies bags consisting of snacks, stationery and toys for them. This was a wonderful treat for the children.

Besides distributing the dinner meals and goodies bags, the CIMB Team also handed bags of used clothes to KRT Rumah Pangsa Larkin’s Encik Hisamuddin Bin Hussin to distribute to the needy residents.

Datuk Seri Teo is grateful CIMB Private Banking JB branch has come forward to sponsor and support SHF’s initiative to help the needy at the Rumah Pangsa Larkin. He felt that besides providing food, the care and concern shown, especially during the home visits, were very important and appreciated by the residents.

CIMB’s Wong Siew Fong added that they are proud to be the Sponsor for SHF’s “Feed The Needy” project for the next 3 months. Her CIMB Team were really delighted to be able to deliver the goodies bags to the children, and were touched by the great smiles from the children and dinner meal recipients.

SHF is a non-profit foundation established in 2019 under the Trustee (Incorporation) Act 1952 which is under the purview of the Prime Minister’s Department, Malaysia.
