Keeping fit while keeping the children in need happy
Rotary Club of Johor Straits View and Rotary Club of Johor Centennial with the partnership of OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad’s branches of Johor Bahru, Taman Molek, Skudai and Kulai will be holding their very first ‘Jom Senam Johor’ event on 20th April 2019 at Ponderosa Golf and Country Club, Taman Molek.
The event with the tagline of ‘Keeping Fit To Help The Needy’ will hold the family-friendly mini carnival with live band performance, magic show, games, food and many more fun activities besides the main zumba, aerobics, aerobox and MMA workout instructed by collective of 6 instructors from X-Fitness Gym, De Dance Studio, Modern Fit Dance & Fitness Studio, Wings Dance & Fitness Studio and JC Fitness Studio.
All proceeds from that day will go to Rotary’s signature Sunshine Children’s Project that was founded in 1999, focusing on critically ill children. The project extended their effort to provide therapeutic milk and APD equipment rental in 2015, now even help to support mothers of handicapped children. Patients who will benefit from this effort are from the Paediatric Ward and the welfare department of Hospital Sultan Ismail and Hospital Sultanah Aminah.
Registration to join the workout is open for individuals and groups. Adults fee are at RM60, children or youth below 18 years old are RM30, Family Package of 2 adults, 2 children or youth below 18 years old are RM150 while Interactors’ fee is at RM30. Participants will receive t-shirt, goody bag, breakfast voucher and lucky draw ticket each.
