Previously, The Iskandarian had visited Imperial Paragon Cuisine at the Grand Paragon Hotel for its Chinese New Year’s offering. So, it is only apt for us to find out what is in store for their buka puasa buffet, ‘Santapan Rasa Paragon’ this Ramadan.
Cafe Para Para at Level G was crowded with excited diners eager to scoop plenty of food from the live cooking station. One of the stalls that gained so much attention was the Sup Tulang Merah stall, an iconic dish of the hotel where a lot of guests would vouch for, and I myself could not resist the natural sweetness from the bone broth mixed with the right spices. The tender meat falling off the bone is perfect for my fasting tastebuds.
The unique offering of this buffet is the Chinese Beef Bread, akin to the local’s Murtabak. The flat bread is similar to roti canai, a bit thicker and filled with minced meat, scallion, and spices giving you a nice crunchy and juicy, tender meat inside.
If you miss Pulut Kuning with Rendang, this buffet is serving exactly that along with Ketupat and Ketupat Daun Palas, Lemang, and Rendang to go with it, besides the many traditional Malay lauk-pauk to go with fragrant, piping hot rice.

With a prolific Chinese restaurant attached, diners should not miss out the Lychee-cooked Sea Bass in Thai style, great to eat just like that or with rice. Sweet, savoury, spicy, the three tastes (tiga rasa) that are what most Malaysians would look for are all on in there.
Look out for the freshly cooked Char Kway Teow, an entire giant wok for the buffet and act fast to get the Ayam Goreng Dara Grand Paragon in various sweet, sour flavours along with the Durian Goreng that are served hot from the frying wok.
To settle down after the heavy dining, I had the pleasure to wind down with their refreshing Calamansi Iced Jelly along with the calming Teh Tarik, perfect to have while chatting the evening away before we took our leave.
Santapan Rasa Paragon is serving 7 menus in rotation and would be available until 29th March 2025. Starts from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the buffet is priced at RM160.00nett per adult, RM115.00nett per senior citizen (aged 60 and above) and RM80.00nett per child (aged 5 to 11 years old).
