Amari Johor Bahru Hosted Children Cancer Fighters to Break-Fast

About 34 children cancer fighters around Johor were invited to break their fast at Amari Johor Bahru organised by the hotel and supported by Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation (Yayasan Kanser Tunku Laksamana Johor).

On hand to greet the children were Dean Rossilli, Area General Manager of Amari Johor Bahru, M.S. Bobby, Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications, the Amari superheroes team and members of Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation (TLJCF).

Also present at the event were TLJCF Executive Director Kol. Dato’ Mohamed Perang Hj. Musa, TLJCF Chief Executive Officer Hj. Shahrin Dato’ Rahmat, Head of Business Unit Angry Birds Activity Park Ungku Aziz, Baba Gan from Maslee Sdn Bhd and Mohamad Faizal from KPJ Puteri Specialist Centre.

The children and their caregivers were indeed happy with the delicious spread of over a hundred dishes at Amaya Food Gallery while being entertained by a lively Ghazal performance. After their break fast, they were treated to an exciting dance performance by RED and The Flock Team from Angry Birds Activity Park. They also received balloons from Angry Bird Clown.

Together with Dean, the children cut a 4kg cake and received duit raya and goody bags from the hotel, Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation, Maslee Sdn Bhd, Permodalan Darul Ta’zim and KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital.

“We support and value the communities in which we live and work by bringing our social responsibility commitment to live by organising several activities for the less fortunate and underprivileged children in Johor especially in trying to provide educational assistances” said Dean.

This is the second year the hotel has partnered with Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation to break-fast with the children cancer fighters.

Dean also thanked the sponsors and Angry Birds Activity Park for their continuous support in partnering with the hotel for its corporate social responsibility activities since it opened its doors on 15th May 2017.

The hotel and the sponsors received certificate of appreciation from Dato’ Perang.
