Easing the Way between Desaru Coast and JB Sentral

Causeway Link together with Desaru Development Holdings One Sdn Bhd has launched a new bus service that connects JB Sentral and Desaru Coast with a revised timing starting this month making it more convenient for visitors.

The new bus service with an approximate travelling time of 90 minutes from Johor Bahru city to Desaru Coast will benefit the community for a day trip to hop on and off which will encourage more visitors to travel down to Desaru and enjoy the coastal atmosphere there and boost tourism.

Known as “Causeway Link JDX Bus”, the bus service would cater to 20 round trips in a week, connecting commuters from these two destinations. Trip schedules may be adjusted accordingly thereafter based on general public’s demand. The pick-up and drop off point in JB Sentral is at Platform No. 2.

Bus trips from Monday to Thursday will run from 9am with the last bus from Desaru departing at 6pm for a single trip in a day while there are two round trips from Friday to Sunday (9am and 2pm). The pick-up and drop off point at Desaru Coast is at the Riverside, just a few minutes’ walk from Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark and Visitor Centre. There will be free shuttle buses available at the centre to get to the different hotels and resorts in Desaru Coast like Westin, Hard Rock, Anantara, and Els Club.

Offering 49 seat capacity with reclining chairs, Causeway Link JDX bus ticket comes with free drinks entitlement that is redeemable at the Causeway Link counter in JB Sentral. Fare is reasonably capped at RM15 per pax and is available at JB Sentral Causeway Link counter, online and one may also pay using travel bus pass card and Manjalink’s card which exclusively comes with 3% discount.  Do take note that each passenger is only allowed to bring on board two (2) medium-sized luggages for the journey. The weight of both luggages must not exceed fifteen (15) kilograms.

With Visit Johor 2020, this transportation partnership is timely and much lauded.
