Briefing and dialogue session will be held after the survey to report the survey findings and government proposals to the people
The town councilor of Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri (MBIP), Chan Wei Khjan, has been receiving numerous complaints regarding the issue of vehicles left behind by the residents working in Singapore:
- 1. There are insufficient parking places available in commercial area
- 2. The cars are blocking the traffic in the residential area
- 3. The contractor is facing difficulties in carrying out cleaning works
- 4. Theft and vandalism of motor vehicles
MBIP is studying the different ways to address the issues, including changing the route of CausewayLink services via the 2nd link and building park and ride facilities in the area nearest to 2nd link Sultan Abu Bakar Customs & Immigration Complex.
A survey is currently ongoing till today, 17 July 2019, where people can participate in the survey via the facebook fan page of Chan Wei Khjan (https://www.facebook.com/ChanWeiKhjan).
On the other hand, MBIP will conduct an offline survey together with the office of Cheo Yee How, ADUN Perling and Handal Indah Sdn. Bhd. The survey will cover the groups of people who are working in Singapore and commuting via the 2nd link, residents and traders around the problematic area.

Chan urges the public to take part in this survey in order for the government to resolve the issues effectively.
