Permaisuri Johor, HM Raja Zarith Sofiah graced the event to celebrate with about 100 cancer fighters

Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation (TLJCF) held a breaking fast event at Persada Johor with about 100 of its cancer fighters and 300 guests with Permaisuri Johor, HM Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah who is also the Chairperson of TLJCF.

TLJCF was inspired by Almarhum Tunku Abdul Jalil Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Laksamana Johor who passed away of liver cancer on 5th Dec 2015. The event also dedicated a prayer to him as he remains as an inspiration to cancer patients and survivors. Her Majesty has helmed the foundation ever since and wants to ensure that Tunku Jalil’s legacy will continue to live on.

The breaking of fast event was held for the second time since the TLJCF’s inception in August 2016.

A sermon by Vice Mufti of Johor, Ahmada Faisal Mohamed was given right before breaking fast, followed by a mass Maghrib prayer. Guests were then entertained by religious songs performed by Yayasan Warisan Johor, and the event concluded after the Isya’ prayers.
