The Malaysian Immigration Department announced that passport service counters at 71 branches of passport issuing offices across the country will be temporarily closed in phases to allow for system maintenance work.

According to a post on its social media, for Phase 1, the closure will take place from 26 to 30 June 2026, affecting several branches, as stated in the poster.

During this time, passport applications at the counter and through MyOnline Passport, as well as passport printing at the participating branches, are not possible.

The general public is advised to plan passport matters ahead of time and to seek further information from the Malaysian Immigration Department’s official channels.
