Johor Southern Tigers, the digital platform for Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) football club, has updated its website with a link to an Instagram post from the iwc2025 account, where one of its posts announced Johor, Malaysia, to be the host to the Influencers World Cup 2025.

The announcement with a video showcasing Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, the home of JDT’s football club in Iskandar Puteri Johor, shared and recognised that for the first time in history, the Influencers World Cup will take place in Johor, Malaysia, in September 2025.

According to the post, this unique event will feature 8 international teams of content creators competing in an exciting 11-a-side football tournament, bringing together the worlds of sports and social media in an unforgettable spectacle.

Dubbed as the biggest influencer competition, participants include teams from Argentina, Spain, Mexico, England, France, Colombia, and Chile while Malaysia is included but has yet to disclose its team.

The announcement was shared and reposted in all Johor Southern Tigers digital platform on the same date the announcement was published.
