On Malaysia Day, Maxim E-hailing representatives from Johor Bahru visited Rumah Anak Yatim Shafar to celebrate this important date with the future of the nation. The Maxim team provided them with much-needed aid and attention, which brought a lot of smiles to the kids’ faces.

Maxim drivers and employees spent half of the day playing with orphans. Children get the opportunity to feel the joyful and happy vibe of this important date in our country. As requested from the management of the orphanage, Maxim came up with gifts that included food supplies, stationery kits, books, and electronic equipment.

Excitement can be seen on the faces of the kids during the activities. A giant customised Snakes and Ladders board brought exuberance, especially between the orphans and the management of Maxim. In addition, the representatives of Maxim also shared knowledge about road safety, and taught the children about how to cross the road the right way, what different road signs meant, and much more.

“Events as such have become an annual programme for Maxim e-healing to care for the orphans while giving a small contribution to them. This is a way to share love and express our kindness to those in need. Seeing their smiles touched our hearts and that is our goal and maybe in the future, programmes like this can be continued again and we hope that many people participate with us,” said Amirul Akmal, head of Johor Bahru.

Meanwhile, one of the representatives from the orphanage stated that they were happy to support Maxim in implementing positive programmes for the community.

“Children are our future. We need to take care of their rights, and education, and give them support in terms of their needs and emotions. I appreciate this programme initiative from Maxim, as it will help to increase the children’s knowledge and bring smiles to their faces at the same time. The programme was so great and everyone enjoyed it, especially since it was conducted on Malaysia Day,” said Miss Tasha head of Rumah Anak Yatim Shafar.

Maxim E-hailing partner-drivers also conducted a parade with flags of Malaysia that to raise the spirit of patriotism while simultaneously creating memorable moments for members of the Maxim community.
