Up to 25% Off with Johor Government’s Student Card

10 partnering companies and 75,000 Johor students are expected to benefit

The Johor government, through the Johor Pelajaran Foundation (YPJ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the issuance of Johor Student Card, involving the cooperation of 10 companies.

According to Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, the companies involved in this initiative will provide discounts up to 25% for students purchasing goods at specific locations.

75,000 students from Community Colleges, Polytechnics, Johor Education Foundation College (KYPJ), and Public Higher Education Institutions (IPTA) are expected to benefit from it.

Meanwhile, 25,000 Johor students will benefit from the distribution of the YPJ Registration Assistance and Education Loan Scheme via the Johor Student Card initiative.

“I ask that students who will be attending universities to apply for this card as soon as possible because it will provide many benefits to them in terms of basic needs such as food, bookshops, and so on. So I hope they would take advantage of it for their learning purposes,” he said.

Among the companies involved are KPJ Healthcare Bhd, Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn Bhd (GSC), Daily Fresh International Sdn Bhd, Al Ikhlas Gadget, Farm Fresh Bhd, Woodfire Burger (M) Sdn Bhd, Badan Cemerlang Sdn Bhd, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort and QSR Brands (M) Holding Bhd.

The application process for the Johor Student Card can be completed at any Bank Muamalat branch, while the YPJ Registration Assistance and Education Loan Scheme will handle it for the recipients.

The launch of discounts through the Johor Student Card will be implemented in October.
