Renowned modern, international hospitality brand, Capri by Fraser in Johor Bahru welcomes a collaboration with Johor’s homegrown coffee industry player, JWC Coffee, to elevate the lifestyle experience at the doorstep of its building and Malaysia, located a few metres shy of the border to Singapore.

As part of its mission to infuse local flavour into hospitality experiences, Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru’s General Manager Magdalina Chung, says the company’s partnership with Malaysian brand JWC, also known as Just Want Coffee, is another way to authentically connect with both locals and visitors.

“We are excited to collaborate with JWC Coffee,” adds Chung. “Their commitment to excellence and innovation in coffee aligns perfectly with our values of delivering exceptional hospitality. This partnership will allow us to offer our guests a unique and superior coffee experience, further enhancing their stay with us.”

“As a homegrown brand, JWC Coffee is deeply rooted in Johor Bahru, and we are thrilled to support local entrepreneurs while celebrating the city’s rich cultural heritage.”

Nelson Lai, founder of JWC Coffee Group, concurs. “Partnering with Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru, is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our dedication to quality and the art of coffee making. We look forward to bringing our passion for coffee to their esteemed guests and contributing to their overall experience at the hotel.”

Nelson shared that Capri by Fraser extended their wish to collaborate with them, proving the brand’s spirit to support local brands and talent in the cities it operates in.

Nelson stated that JWC Coffee will also bring their house signature, Caramel & Popcorn, which is also Capri by Fraser’s chosen blend, to the hotel guests. This unique blend, which combines beans from Brazil and Colombia, two of the world’s top coffee producers, produces a taste similar to caramel popcorn and milk chocolate.

JWC Coffee made its name as one of the few companies in Malaysia to import coffee beans directly from farms in their countries of origin.

Established in 2009 by enthusiasts seeking to improve the nation’s coffee experience, it collaborates closely with reliable suppliers to guarantee that the beans are of the highest calibre and are produced ethically.

Renowned for producing baristas who consistently place first in regional and national competitions are another aspect of JWC’s brand recognition. At Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru, locals and visitors alike can anticipate more than just a garden variety latte or macchiato thanks to their skills and expertise.

A schedule of special events and promotions is also being worked on; these include coffee tasting sessions, barista workshops, and menu items with a coffee theme.

In its statement, in unison, Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru, and JWC Coffee Group intend to revolutionise the hospitality landscape in Johor Bahru and are seeking the public to anticipate a novel and exciting experience that will add vibrancy to the city’s already lively cafe scene, complete with gourmet coffee, stylish vibes, and a handy location.
