Datuk Roziah Binti Abudin, Deputy Secretary-General (Domestic Trade Development), Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), had officiated the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Malaysian Goods Carnival Mini Tour South Zone (Jelajah Mini Karnival Barangan Malaysia 2023 Zon Selatan), at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru from 5 October to 8 October 2023.
The goal of organising the mini carnival tour is to encourage people in the country’s southern region to prioritise locally made goods.
The KBM Mini Tour 2023 South Zone was made a success by the participation of twenty (20) exhibitors, with a variety of products the South, namely Johor, Melaka, and Negeri Sembilan.
The tour featured selected micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) industry players introducing their products to the local community.
Exhibitions and sales, advocacy meetings, and a variety of fun visitor activities are just a few of the things that are done. In its statement, KPDN urged Malaysians to “Let us Support and Buy” (Jom Sokong dan Beli) and advised consumers to make better decisions by selecting and purchasing Malaysian goods that are of high quality and competitive with imported goods.
Also present on the opening day were Dato’ Rohaizi bin Bahari – Senior Director, KPDN Trade, Distribution, and Business Sector; Lilis Saslinda Binti Pornomo, Johor KPDN Director and a Senior Official of the Ministry.
