AIESEC in Johor Bahru successfully conducted its first physical Annual General Meeting for the year 2022 after the pandemic. This meeting is a touchpoint where all the membership and alumni gather together to bid farewell to this fulfilling year and welcome the new term in 2023.

The meeting was attended by the advisor of the Student Chapter AIESEC, Assoc. Prof. Dr Ramesh Zaidi Rozan, Director of UTM Centre for Student Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship (UTM XCITE), Assoc. Prof. Dr Abdul Rashid Bin Husain, 3 alumni, 89 members, and 41 new members.

This Annual General Meeting’s main objective is to provide the Johor Bahru chapter of AIESEC with an annual report on the organisation’s overall operations, performance reviews, and financial reporting. The certificate-giving ceremony is further held to express gratitude for the member’s contributions throughout the course of the year.

“As someone who has had the privilege of working closely with AIESEC, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact this organisation has had on the lives of young people,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr Ramesh.

AIESEC in Johor Bahru proudly announces its first annual report for 2022 in order to more accurately reflect the completion of the timeframe 2022–2023. The report highlights the organisation’s initiatives in the movement to enable youngsters to exercise leadership and have an impact on their neighbourhood and country.

AIESEC in Johor Bahru appreciates the kind support and assistance from all its partners. AIESEC believes “Activating purposeful youth leadership in Johor Bahru by facilitating challenging experiences through innovative and sustainable action” with the belief that youth leadership development is fundamental in driving national development. AIESEC in Johor Bahru will continue striving for better by engaging and empowering more youths to take leadership actions to make our community, nation, and world a better place.
