Johor State Sports Council (MSNJ) has launched the RiseUp Gold Junior 2023 Logo at Paradigm with Mohd Hairi bin Mad Shah, Chairman of the Johor Youth, Sports, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives, and Human Resources Committee who officiated the event.

The debut of the RiseUp Gold Junior logo coincided with the rebranding of the Johor Junior Circuit  (Sirkit Remaja Johor) competition, which MSNJ debuted in 2019. According to a statement, the name is also more in line with MSNJ, which uses the term ‘riseup’ in its programmes.

The Johor Youth Circuit, now known as RiseUp Gold Junior, is an arena for young athletes to compete. The Gold Johor development programme would be organised in three series every year, comprising up to six different sports, including pencak silat, wushu, petanque, canoeing, judo, and archery. The tournament can collect a total of 1300 entries for each series.

For the state of Johor to ensure the survival of sports culture, this grassroots development project is also viewed as being of utmost importance. The RiseUp Gold Junior project is also one of the efforts of the Johor State Sports Council to achieve Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Johor Menteri Besar’s ambition to make Johor a Sports Powerhouse by 2030.

“Programmes such as RiseUp Gold Junior are also able to instill enthusiasm in young athletes to set their dreams and drive their progress to a higher level,” said MSNJ adding that this will ensure that the state of Johor will always have sponsors for those sports too.
