Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru & Paragon Globe Berhad jointly organised a Hari Raya Celebration with orphanage homes

Hari Raya Aidilfitri marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, and it is a time of forgiveness within the Muslim community and a time for strengthening bonds among relatives and friends. Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru and Paragon Globe Berhad hosted a Hari Raya Charity event with the orphans from Asrama Kebajikan Ar-Rayyan, Pusat Jagaan Baitul Maghfirah Suria & Pertubuhan Kebajikan An-Nur at Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru on 13 May 2023.

Over 150 children from aged 6 to 17 years old were invited, and the honourable guest for the event was Haji Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, Deputy Minister of Local Government Development of Malaysia.

This event is part of Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru and Paragon Globe Berhad’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to promote the spirit of togetherness and share the joy for Hari Raya month. Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng, Director of Hotel Grand Paragon & Executive Chairman of Paragon Globe Berhad, and Dato’ Sri Godwin Tan Pei Poh, Director of Hotel Grand Paragon & Group Executive Director of Paragon Globe Berhad were present to show their support in this meaningful event.

The event started with the children arriving at 7.45pm and they were ushered by the Management and Staffs of Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru and Paragon Globe Berhad, followed by prayers recital and ended with group photograph session. The children were entertained by Fanpekka Tebrau City, dancing with ‘Lala’ the mascot including games and quiz, clown performance by Tikki the Clown and traditional dancing performance by Gemalai Tari Majidee. The children were not only treated to a sumptuous meal, but also given ‘Duit Raya’ and Raya goodies bag contributed by Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru and Paragon Globe Berhad.

All the Heads of Departments were involved with the distribution of the goody bags while the ‘Duit Raya’ were distributed to the orphans on the stage by Akmal Nasir, Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng, Dato’Sri Godwin Tan Pei Poh and the invited guests.

The hotel’s General Manager, Yeo Siu Ling was hopeful that through this humble gesture, these children got to fulfill their wishes to celebrate Raya in a joyous mood and is pleased that these events gave them an opportunity to do their part and give back to the communities.
