Johor State Housing Development Corp (PKPJ) will adopt the building concept of Singapore’s Home and Development Board (HDB) to provide comprehensive affordable housing plans in all of the state’s districts.
Singapore’s housing authority is known as the HDB. It designs and develops the republic’s housing estates, including home construction and town transformation, in order to create a high-quality living environment for everyone. It offers a wide range of economic, recreational, and social amenities throughout its communities for the convenience of its residents.
To get started, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, the Johor Menteri Besar, said PKPJ would have to take drastic measures by collaborating with other agencies like local governments, the Ministry of Finance, the Employees Provident Fund, PR1MA Corporation Malaysia, the Town and Country Planning Department (PLANMalaysia), and banks to create a detailed and focused housing development planning database.
PKPJ will also be in charge of ensuring that all development plans are carried out on time and on budget, allowing for the creation of affordable housing to fulfil local demand, he explains.
He hoped that the cooperation with other departments, as well as this intention and commitment, will be accomplished.
