The winner of Iskandar Malaysia Social Hero Awards (IMSHA); Johor Bahru Happy and Joyous Club (JBHJC) conducted its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and held the installation of the President and EXCO 2022-2024 event online on the 18th of February 2022.
The events were divided into two sessions and were led by outgoing President Lina Lim for the meeting, while the newly-appointed Organising Chair, Koh Mui Cheng, led the Celebratory Floral Nite, which was hosted by members Tarama Raju and Wham Lay Kai.
Effective 1st of March 2022, the new line-up of the executive committee will hold its position for one term, consisting of 2 years until 2024.
The Johor Bahru Happy & Joyous Club is a non-profit organisation whose major activities include laughing yoga, clowning, drum circles, and other activities that provide joy and happiness to the community. These activities had been brought to hospitals/clinics, nursing homes, colleges and schools, police stations, dialysis centres, business companies, town councils, residential gardens/parks, and numerous Non-Governmental Organisations prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Almost all events in the current situation are online, with free classes focusing on joy and happiness for the community.
JBHJC holds a Zoom laughing yoga practise session every day. Participants who are interested in taking part may contact the club via Facebook to join a session or to set up a private session.
