Trinidad Suites Puteri Harbour was honoured to be a part of the project to grant the Christmas wishes of 16 children in collaboration with Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cheng En Johor Bahru. By encouraging everyone to become a Secret Santa, a wish list of Christmas gifts was is fulfilled.
Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cheng En, which is located at Melodies Garden, Johor Bahru, was founded in February 2017 by several like-minded good friends with the goal of creating a non-profit children’s home. The NGO has been staying true to its aim by taking in children from less fortunate families at no charge, for the past 4 years and running.
“The home is dedicated to helping out orphans, children from impoverished families, single-parent households, or those who’ve suffered domestic violence. Our biggest aim is to provide these children with a warm, stable and loving home so they may grow and learn without worry. Other than providing food, accommodation as well as formal education, we also place a great focus on the shaping of their behaviour and attitude, through imparting positive moral values and counselling when required. At the same time, we also encourage the discovery and development of potentials in our children,” said Irene Loh, President of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Chen En.
“The gifts were delivered to the orphanage on Christmas Eve, and it was delightful to see the smiles on the children’s faces when they were given their presents from the wish list. With Hospitality 360 Group’s spirit in mind, we are committed to being actively involved in community projects”, highlighted Gerard Chan, the Hotel Manager of Trinidad Suites Puteri Harbour.
Thoughtful gestures as such should not only happen during the festive season, and may the season of giving to the less fortunate continue more frequently.
