Hit by the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions for almost two years now, Persatuan Cerebral Palsy Johor (CP Johor), a non-government organisation (NGO) of 54 years old history has been facing its toughest challenge since its establishment according to its statement. The Rehabilitation and Special Education Centre for children and young adults with Cerebral Palsy in Johor Bahru are one of the three fully integrated Cerebral Palsy Centres in Malaysia which includes a Special Education School, Rehabilitation Unit and Vocational Workshop.
A donation of RM700,000 made by nine corporations has allowed them to extend their effort in providing essential services for the CP community.
Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Ir. Haji Hasni Mohammad was present during the contribution handover ceremony held on the 30th of November to witness the mock cheque presentation from nine companies that has donated a total amount of RM700,00 to CP Johor.
“Hopefully the children who get training and education here can be fully protected and taken care of,” said Hasni. He also paid a brief visit to CP Johor’s community during his attendance at the event.
The corporations involved include ATA IMS Berhad, MTAG Group Berhad, Dou Yee Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, Linocraft Printers Sdn Bhd, Nihon Pigment Sdn Bhd, SKP Resources Berhad, SJ Varied Foundation, Mybrush Industries Sdn Bhd and Mytech & Assembly Sdn Bhd.
