RM500,000 Worth of Food Items for Distribution

Food boxes ready and getting loaded for the affected households

Johor Corporation (JCorp) through Yayasan Johor Corporation (Yayasan JCorp) had launched the Food Bank Yayasan JCorp initiative that aims to provide RM500,000 worth of essential food items to 10,000 households in Johor.

500 food boxes of basic necessities such as rice, flour and instant noodles supply for three months will be distributed to the low-cost housing communities.

The food boxes will be distributed to those in need by Yayasan JCorp Chairman Rozaini Mohd Sani through the local community, which is focused on highly populated residential areas such as Rumah Pangsa Larkin, Rumah Pangsa Taman Cempaka Tampoi, Rumah Pangsa Taman Desa Mutiara, Rumah Pangsa Taman Air Biru Pasir Gudang, Kampung Laut, and Kampung Sepakat Baru, Skudai.

Volunteers from Briged Waqaf Johor Corporation will also assist in the delivery of food boxes.

The campaign aims to support the Johor state government’s efforts in creating more access to food banks for Johoreans who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

“Through this initiative, Yayasan JCorp will set up food banks terminal in various public locations and commercial property owned by JCorp such as @Mart Kempas, Taman Dahlia Public Market and estates owned by Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad,” said Rozaini.

JCorp and its group of companies, Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad, KPJ Healthcare Berhad, QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd, Johor Land Berhad, Damansara Assets Sdn Bhd, and Waqaf An-Nur Corporation, have joined forces to create the Food Bank Yayasan JCorp.

The campaign aims to support the Johor state government’s efforts in creating more access to food banks for Johoreans who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yayasan JCorp also accepts public donations for the Yayasan JCorp Food Bank initiative. Interested parties can make contributions to the Yayasan Johor Corporation’s Bank Islam account (01014010027795). Each contribution is eligible for a 10% tax relief of the aggregate income of the individual and the company.
