The MARA Liner mobile vaccination centre (PPV) is coming to Mersing, Johor said Rural Development (KPLB) Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad to reporters when met at the vaccination programme at the first mobile PPV location, Bawong Orang Asli One Stop Centre (OAOSC) on 26th June.

The bus, which runs 10 hours a day to provide vaccine doses regardless of MySejahtera’s registration, has the capacity to vaccinate 800 people per day in a remote area. He stated that 17 MARA Liner express buses would be used as PPVS.

At OAOSC, two buses were deployed, with the vaccine recipients including 40 Tok Batin and 60 Orang Asli.

“Sungai Siput has been chosen as the first mobile PPV location, in KPLB’s effort to make it easier for Orang Asli settlers in rural or remote areas to receive their vaccine,” said the Deputy Minister.

The vehicle will also be sent to Orang Asli communities throughout the country to guarantee that the rural population, particularly the Orang Asli community, is not left out of the national vaccination programme.

He mentioned MARA Liner Sdn Bhd, the Orang Asli Development Department (JAKOA), the Kuala Kangsar District Health Office, Sungai Siput District Hospital, and several other government entities worked together to make the programme a reality.
