Paragon Globe Berhad (Paragon) has extended its support to the frontliners in Hospital Sultan Ismail, Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru and Hospital Permai Johor Bahru by contributing a total of 300 goody bags of essentials to showcase its appreciation for their efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
Each hospital received 100 goody bags that were filled with hand cream and essential items such as instant coffee, instant chocolate malt drink, crackers, cup noodle and snack. The initiative to distribute the hand cream is to help the frontliners to replenish and hydrate their hands due to frequent and prolonged use of ethanol-based hand sanitisers.
Commenting on the “Show the Appreciation to Hospital Frontliners” Programme, Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng, Chairman Executive of Paragon Globe, said, “The immense dedication, invaluable commitment and unwavering efforts of the frontliners amidst the COVID-19 pandemic are truly incomparable.”
“This contribution was part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, where we hope to cheer the frontliners with these small gestures of appreciation,” he added.
On 30th March 2020, Paragon had donated 100,000 pieces of 3-layer surgical face masks to the Johor state government to support the government in its efforts to address the safety needs of medical teams, relevant authorities and the citizens.
